Here's the short version of the story:
*slipped in the shower
*broke my right arm in two places
*tons of swelling resulted in temp splint
*more permanent cast next week.
All this is to say ~ Doctor: "No painting, etc., for at least 4-6 weeks"
Gulp.
I'm hunting & pecking with my left hand, which is already weary from picking up the slack :(
I'll leave you with these pictures, and wish you all a VERY merry christmas full of abundant blessings!
oh no! feel better soon. you should have titled this post... "in a few pieces"
ReplyDeleteOh no! I hope that you are not in too much pain and that it all heals up quickly. Painting and furniture will still be there when you are all better :-)

ReplyDeleteOuch! I hope you will heal quickly and well. I went through something similar two years ago...I can commiserate!
ReplyDeleteI am sorry to hear that you had this terrible accident. Nothing sucks like an accident in the nude! But I know that your kitten heating pad will help your arm feel much better very soon. Also you find out great things about people around you--I was on crutches at T'giving one year and my neighbor (the one with the horrible little boys) made dressing for our dinner. My Honey cooked everything else. Also, you sould know that you have inspired me to paint a big chest. The paint is purchased, I just need to do the work. Thanks for being an inspiration to me and take care.
ReplyDeleteKathie!!! You poor thing!!! I hope it doesn't hurt too bad.
ReplyDeleteBy the way - I finally checked out My Favorite Place - I now go once a week!! I love it!!

ReplyDeleteOh Dear Kathie - I am sorry to hear about your fall! And just on the heels of your scissor accident. Well - this will give you a great reason to just slow down, kick your feet up and enjoy the holidays. Now get to it!
ReplyDeleteGirlfriend. I am SO sorry.... Are you in tons of pain?? I know this sucks, but take this time for YOU...rest...read a good book or two... Sit still... You've been kinda accident prone lately, so sitting still may be a good idea. :)
