We're back from our trip… Sad to leave St Thomas but SO happy to get home to our boys! I'll share a couple more pictures from the trip:
This is my idea of perfection ~ an ice-cold diet coke with some yummy ice. Bliss
I never knew I was afraid of iguanas. Until this past weekend. These things are EVERYWHERE. Thankfully not too many at the Ritz, but they seem to pop up when you least expect them. And they are 2.5-3 feet long, easy. I shudder at the thought!
Our pool, overlooking the beach.
View of town from the hotel where my husband had his meeting (Frenchmen's Reef).
Our wonderful room. It was so lovely!
Now, back to what this blog is really all about… furniture!!
These two pieces were destined to be together. They weren't made together, or even purchased together. But they just 'go' together.
Here are their before's, when they first met in my garage…
I painted them in an 'oops' gray, which isn't something I do often. So, no color name for you, sorry. I primed first, then painted & heavily distressed so that in some places the white shows through, and in others, the dark shows through.
I wiped the hardware down with some oil rubbed bronze but kept all of it. I love it.
Here you go:
I hope you love it as much as I do!!
