This huge piece is DONE. I love it. Found both halves at the goodwill but strangely enough, they were not being sold together. Very odd.
Here is the before...
I don't have many 'in progress' pictures since it was pretty basic. I filled the center hardware holes, primed & painted. Easy peasy, but it took forever to get two good coats all over this piece! My dad cut new shelves for the piece, since the original glass was missing. And then we added some fun trim to the center supports.
Nothing like painting in the dark :)
Love Gorilla Glue.
Can you tell I love the details on this piece? They distressed so well.
I also decorated for Halloween today. To call it 'decorating' might be a stretch, but the blogosphere has inspired me to get festive.
I made this ribbon wreath last year. It is the epitome of easy. If you can cut & tie knots, you can do this!
Here are some pictures of the wreath from the back. All you do is take a wire wreath form and start tying ribbons around it. Periodically smoosh them together so they're good & tight, and keep tying until your wreath is done. That's it!
And, finally, you know I can't let the day end without mentioning the GIVEAWAY one last time! We planned it to celebrate 200 followers, but y'all... the blog now has 250 followers! Holy cow!
So, just to get you excited, if & when we hit 300, there will be something good! In the meantime, I have started methodically numbering all of the followers, comments & comments on Becky's blog. So, tomorrow when we do the random number generator, I'll announce the winner :) The details on how to enter are below, in case you've somehow missed it!
I appreciate y'all! It is gorgeous here in Georgia, I hope you all enjoy your weekend as much as I hope to!
Kathie
