Have you ever had a piece that had several lives?  It just kept changing?  Such is the case with these mirrors.

I'll take you back to the beginning...

In the beginning, there was this.
I primed them.

And painted & distressed them.  And they sat.

Then a dear friend saw them & loved them.  Only she wanted them in the same color as the Aegean Blue Dresser (here's a reminder)
I aim to please, so this is what I did.

And I think they look fabulous!

And, funny thing ~ since my friend 'claimed' them I've had two other people try to buy them.  But not a single taker before that :)

Don't forget, if you're local, the Holiday Shopping Spree is Wednesday & Thursday of this week.  I'll be there in the role of "Elf" (aka helper/go-fer/volunteer!) and I would love to see you!

  1. these are just beautiful. This last color is the exact shade that I'm hoping to paint my massive old Schrank. Someday you may see it on my blog page as a finished project! -diane

  2. they turned out lovely- they would be great in a bathroom with a double vanity. and yes, i do believe they count as furniture. ;)

  3. Funny how that works huh. I have had pieces that I fell in love with that sat and sat. And pieces that I thought - hmm okay and they were gone in a heartbeat. Ya just never know!

  4. The mirrors look great, I really like that shade of blue!

  5. Those are beautiful! I love the new color!

  6. As a 'collector' of mirrors, I can tell you that I've never come across any as unique as these! You colour matched them perfectly! They're gorgeous and your friend scored BIG TIME!

  7. Just found your blog. It's great when I see furniture being recycled into such creative pieces. Have fun, Lisa

  8. Oh, I remember that blue dresser...such a pretty color! The mirrors look great in agean blue, too! How I wish I could come to the holiday shopping spree...it sounds like so much fun! Have fun being "Elf." :)

  9. You are so lucky to have a pair of mirrors! They look great!

  10. You have a lucky friend. I think the blue color brings out the detail more. You do great work!
