blue dresser

I brought this home from the GW the other day.  I went, innocently enough, to drop off some things.  Couldn't help going in (you know how that goes, right?)  Of course, left with more than I dropped off!

When I pulled back into the loading lane to pick up my treasures, the guy looked at me, then did a double take.  "Weren't you just here??"  Yep, I was :)

I decided to go out of my comfort zone on this one, and try some color.  I'll admit, I was nervous when the paint went on.  Holy Carolina Blue!  No offense, CP & CAT, but that wasn't the look I was going for.
Sanded the top down...
And, here it is!  I used the RL tobacco glaze, which really toned the color down, and I love the result!  The top is stained in antique maple, something I haven't used before either.

The top is still wet in this picture...

thanks for coming by!
